additional error box contained the following:
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly
 Error running /usr/local/groundwork/mysql/bin/mysql -u root --password=saturn -D mysql -e "SOURCE /usr/local/groundwork/foundation/database/create-production-db.sql;" : ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

note mysql is running and password shown in connection attempt is same as was given during setup questions.

Please provide the BitRock_installer .log in the /tmp directory.

Thank you,

Richard

not sure if the file will be valuable at this point. I suspected that the problem was with the mysql authentication so on a hunch i uninstalled 5.3 and re-installed using with a blank mysql password. The install worked sucessfully and the system is up.

Albert, great news!. The installer.logs are all time-stamped, so the specific file should be available;
in any event, the password listed above shows saturn, where there any spaces or special characters in the passwd?

Per Albert's comments, he re-installed and Cannot Reproduce the issue.

Im still curious to understand if there was nay grief with his mysql passwd?
