How to generate encrypted credentials

Overview

There are a few places where credentials need to remain at rest on the system for GroundWork to authenticate against remote and local services, such as the REST API or the LDAP bind credential. These credentials need to be encrypted before updating those configuration files.

Procedure

To generate a encrypted security credential use the following command, substituting the actual password for the example PASSWORD:

/usr/local/groundwork/foundation/scripts/encrypt.sh encrypt --value=PASSWORD

The result will look like this:
