New GroundWork in an Hour training session: Nagios Migration to GWMCE

October 13, 2008 - 8:51 am

If you are interested in trying GroundWork Monitor Community Edition 5.2 (GWMCE) and are a current Nagios 2.x user, watch this online training course on how to migrate without skipping a beat. GWMCE offers additional functionality than what Nagios delivers including auto-discovery and auto-configuration, which are great time savers for you.

After watching the video and trying the migration, we’d be interested in your feedback about the training! It’s important to us to make sure we’ve covered the details appropriately. You’ll see at the bottom of the training page a place where you can submit your comments and additional insights. Please let us and others know what you’ve learned from your experience.

Looking forward to your opinion about the migration experience, and anything else you find relevant.

I have been using Nagios/Netsaint for at least 10 years now. I can certainly see Groundwork Monitor becoming a new tool for me.

In 1998 I used HP Openview in conjuction with Big Brother. I saw the writing on the walls in 1999 and migrated over to Netsaint and have never looked back.

I think its time to give the community edition a go.
