GroundWork Advances Enterprise Adoption of Open Source via RHX

May 10, 2007 - 10:00 am

This is an exciting week for GroundWork Open Source and a step towards a broader market for open source generally.

The inclusion of our flagship product, GroundWork Monitor Professional, in the initial rollout of Red Hat’s RHX validates our strategy of unifying proven open source projects to deliver enterprise-class IT management software at a fraction of the cost of proprietary solutions. We offer the widest support for operating systems, applications, and networked devices, so organizations can leverage the flexibility of open source to achieve enterprise-level availability, performance, and operational efficiently.

We are pleased to have been included in RHX, because RHX is exactly in line with the expansion of open source into the mainstream that GroundWork hopes to bolster. The “one-stop shopping” for open source projects will help customers find the business applications they need (with the assurance of Red Hat support), and we are happy to step up and contribute to this experience.

“The invitation from Red Hat to be a part of RHX further validates our leadership in the open source IT management category,” said Ranga Rangachari, CEO of GroundWork Open Source. “Given Red Hat’s leadership with Linux, I believe what Mike Evans, VP of corporate development at Red Hat said earlier - ‘with RHX, Red Hat is in a position to become the Amazon of open source software’- and it is truly exciting to be part of that wave.”
