New Features in GroundWork Monitor Open Source

As of release 5.1, GroundWork Monitor Open Source has these new features:

1) Integrated Performance Graphing

Uses RRDtool for integrated graphing of time series performance data. Allows you to create groups of hosts or services that you want to see in performance reports. Any combination of performance graphs can be customized and saved as reports for repeated viewing with constantly updated data. Integrates into host and service views.

2) Foundation data layer

We’ve incorporated Foundation into GroundWork Monitor Open Source (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gwfoundation/). Foundation is a data store that you can use to integrate any state, event, and performance data, independent of the Monitoring Application that produces it. This provides you with the capability to store data for additional systems, including open source and commercial monitoring systems, databases, and even hardware, such as detectors or sensors.
