Real-time Visibility with Status Viewer
Status Viewer provides real time status views with Windows Explorer type tree navigation, aggregate monitoring information to high level groupings that can be drilled down to status of specific hosts and services.
Tactical Overview
Tactical Overview provides a quick summary of aggregated monitoring information: breaches, warning, OK summaries. It provides these for you with summaries across Host Groups, summaries of unacknowledged problems so that you can see which are the critical issues. One can drill down to details from the high level view.
Advanced Reporting
With the integrated Eclipse BIRT reporting engine users can create reports to help visualize multiple data feeds, maps, performance data and events. Six standard service level reports are bundled into GroundWork Monitor Professional including Event History, Host Group Status, Host Status, Host Group Availability, Host Availability, and Consolidated Log File Reports. Additionally, customers can create customized reports drawn from the data monitored and collected by GroundWork Monitor Professional using the BIRT report designer.
Executive-level Dashboards
Create dashboards that suit individual preferences and achieve the desired management perspectives, while at the same time securing sensitive data to only those with appropriate authority. Using an intuitive drag and drop metaphor, dashboards can quickly be created, customized and updated. Included are a collection of standard dashboard elements that can be individually configured and freely arranged on the dashboard. Additionally, the look of individual dashboards can be personalized with custom background images or colors.
Status Viewer: Trouble Views
Trouble View provides real time status for those hosts and services that are in Down or critical warning states. It has all the drill down capabilities of the NetView screen including dual methods of navigation, both the left hand Windows Explore type as well as the right side main drill down.
Integrated Console Views
The Integrated Console views provide you with a time perspective on events with event history. Color coded threshold breaches and related message details from devices let you correlate events with real time status screens to arrive at likely causes of issues. The Console view provides more detailed at-a-glance event and status data than the monitoring status screens. The Console is ideal for operators in Network Operating Centers (NOCs), because it provides (configurable) fine grain monitoring data in real time.
With the Integrated Console, you can get not only data from active or passive polling but also different monitoring types for example SNMP Traps, Syslog files. Since, the GroundWork Foundation supports the integration of multiple data types, with a little configuring, you can also integrate other application types such as JMX messages, JMS, etc.
Performance Trend Graphing
GroundWork Monitor Professional provides graphing and reporting for performance data over time so as to watch trends to take early corrective action by make visual correlations across multiple metrics, services and hosts. It also helps in watching capacity trends for planning purposes.
