GroundWork Monitor Enterprise scalability and availability options include:
- GroundWork Linux Child Server - Offloads monitoring tasks from the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Server, increasing your monitoring capacity
- GroundWork Monitor Standby Server - Provides continuous monitoring coverage and automated failover / failback functionality
GroundWork Linux Child Server
The optional GroundWork Linux Child Server combined with the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Server:
- Monitors distributed environments, including hosts located in different geographic locations, behind firewalls, or in satellite offices
- Provides one central dashboard from which to control your GroundWork Linux Child Servers, eliminating the need to administer them individually
- Centralizes performance and availability reporting for all monitored systems, regardless of their location
GroundWork Monitor Standby Server
Working in tandem with the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Server, the GroundWork Monitor Standby Server:
- Automates failover /failback so that user intervention is not required
- Assures data consistency by continually monitoring the same infrastructure as the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Server
- Minimizes unscheduled downtimes, stepping in automatically to process notifications if the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Server is unavailable
