GroundWork System Requirements
GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Edition runs on most modern Intel-compatible servers (Intel and AMD x86 32- and 64-bit.) GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Edition is certified on the following operating systems:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Server, 32 or 64-bit
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 32 or 64-bit
- CentOS 5, 32 or 64-bit
- CentOS 4, 32-bit
- Novell SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 and 11, 32 or 64-bit
- Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS, 9.10, 10.04 32 or 64-bit
Virtual Appliance Version (Quickstart)
For customers using a GroundWork Monitor Quickstart Virtual Appliance the host system should have sufficient free resources to meet the minimum default VM resources requirements:

Our virtual appliances are tested with VMware ESX 4 but should be compatible with other virtualization solutions. The virtual appliances are designed for evaluating and piloting GWOS solutions in your environment. They are based on minimal 32-bit Linux distributions they are not suitable for large, scaled out deployment and do not support some GroundWork Monitor add-on products such as the Network Management Suite.

For customers installing GroundWork Monitor software on their own server the following sizing guidelines are recommended:

Software Compatibility Notes
Due to packaging differences we do not support some optional GWOS monitoring components including the Network Management Suite (NMS) on the Ubuntu Server platform at this time. Please contact us for further details if you require Network Management functions for the Ubuntu platform.
