IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console: GroundWork Monitor Connector to IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) integrates GroundWork Monitor with the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console, which provides event management handling and correlation.

GroundWork Monitor Connector to IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console:

The GroundWork Monitor Connector to IBM TEC enables events in IBM TEC to be automatically created from alarms or individual monitoring events within GroundWork Monitor. Events in IBM TEC are populated with GroundWork Monitor data, including device and last message information.

How It Works:

The GroundWork Monitor Connector passes alarms and individual monitoring events to IBM TEC when they are generated on the GroundWork system.

The Connector communicates with IBM TEC using the postzmsg tool. Source and class definitions are established within IBM TEC to accept the event data and to map them into the TEC schema.

Requirements

• The postzmsg tool, which employs a fixed TCP port, is used for connectivity between the GroundWork Monitor server and IBM TEC server.
• IBM TEC class and source definitions must be configured with GroundWork Monitor event states.
