Gartner Magic Quadrant - Network Management Software
Commercial Open Source Leader GroundWork Open Source Recognized in Magic Quadrant for IT Event Correlation and Analysis
GroundWork Monitor only open source solution to make the cut
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — July 31, 2009— GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (GWOS), the leader in commercial open source systems and network management software, today announced that Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global IT industry, positioned GWOS in the "Niche Players" quadrant of its Magic Quadrant for IT Event Correlation and Analysis (ECA) (i).
“As the only open source vendor listed in the ECA Magic Quadrant, GWOS is proud to be recognized amongst incumbents HP, IBM, BMC and Microsoft for its enterprise-class network, system and application monitoring solutions,” said Peter Jackson, CEO of GWOS. “Because of GWOS’s ability to execute and compete for larger deployments, including customers like Siemens, World Bank and National Geographic, we only see continued growth and success in the ECA market.”
According to Gartner, “six vendors have been added to the 2009 Magic Quadrant based on client inquiries regarding these vendors in this market – an indication that buyers see these vendors as players or potential players in the ECA market.”
