SAN FRANCISCO, CA—January 21, 2010—GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (GWOS, www.gwos.com), the leader in commercial open source system and network management software, today announced the availability Brooklyn for Nagios, an iPhone application built for GroundWork Monitor and Nagios system and network administrators who need to access their monitoring system console remotely via a mobile device.
Brooklyn for Nagios can be purchased in the iTunes App Store for $8.99, and is natively built to access Nagios 2.x and 3.x or GroundWork Monitor 5.3, 6.0 and 6.0.1 from either an iPhone or iPod Touch. To purchase directly from app store, click here.
“Its powerful native client application lets you connect to Nagios or GroundWork Monitor via the internet using a secure, intuitive hierarchical native interface,” said Daniel Feinsmith, the creator of Brooklyn for Nagios. “Deployment is easy and takes under a minute, only requiring the console server’s URL, the user name and password.”
Brooklyn for Nagios delivers unique advantages compared to other applications or web browsers. These include:
- Fast Response Time - Built to integrate directly with Nagios and GroundWork engines.
- Secure Integration - Leverages both VPN and SSL connections.
- Easy-to-Use/Read - An easy-to-read interface that reduces scrolling and expedites the ability to scan for important information. The interface also permits click-through actions that drive the console remotely.
- Compliant - Does not require any modification to the monitoring engine code, preserving the server deployment for compliance purposes.
Brooklyn for Nagios is a perpetual license application with unlimited upgrades and support. Currently there are over 1000 active Brooklyn for Nagios users since its initial release in June 2009.
