Monitoring For Higher Education
GroundWork Open Source a Sponsor of EDUCAUSE’s 2008 Enterprise Conference in Chicago
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—May 14, 2008—GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (www.groundworkopensource.com), the leader in commercial open source systems and network management software, announced today it will be attending and helping to sponsor this year’s EDUCAUSE Enterprise Information and Technology Conference in Chicago, May 28-29, at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.
“It is a great opportunity to participate in this year’s Enterprise Conference and work with EDUCAUSE in their mission of advancing higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology,” said Dave Lilly, co-founder and CEO of GroundWork Open Source. “Working with universities around the world, GroundWork helps university IT managers walk a fine balance between needing reliable computing and managing costs.”
GroundWork will be sponsoring the evening reception on Wednesday, May 28th, prior to Thursday’s panel discussion moderated by Gartner, Inc., VP Distinguished Analyst, Andrea Di Maio. The session, “Community Source Software: The Beginning of the End, or the End of the Beginning?” will compare and contrast community source with more traditional software sourcing options and explore critical sustainability success factors.
During the event, GroundWork will also be offering demos of its recently launched GroundWork Monitor 5.2 for attending universities.
The EDUCAUSE Enterprise Information and Technology Conference will present a setting for taking a broad, enterprise-wide look at the current issues and challenges facing institutions today—with a focus on the interests of leaders and managers of administrative and enterprise technology groups within IT, business, or academic units at colleges and universities.
