SAN FRANCISCO — February 4, 2008 - GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (www.groundworkopensource.com), the leader in open source systems and network management software, announced today it will be previewing the newest version of GroundWork Monitor and its expanded product line at this years Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE) in Los Angeles, February 8-10, 2008.
GroundWork Monitor version 5.2 and GroundWork's expanded product line are due out in early March. The newest version of GroundWork Monitor will continue to uphold GroundWork's standards of integrating best of breed open source projects into its comprehensive IT infrastructure and network monitoring platform. Unlike proprietary solutions like, HP OpenView, GroundWork eliminates vendor lock-in and enhances enterprise flexibility by being open source.
In addition, GroundWork's founder, Thomas Stocking, will be speaking on Sunday, February 10, 2008, during the 3:00 p.m. session on "Tips, Tricks and Gotchas in Deploying Nagios." This session will be an audience participation session, where beginners will learn the "how to" of what can go wrong when installing Nagios.
