GroundWork Releases New Version of GroundWork Monitor to the Open Source Community
Continues to widen leadership gap with fully integrated performance monitoring and an extensible web services interface
San Francisco, CA — April 17, 2007 — GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (www.groundworkopensource.com), the leader in open source systems and network management software, today announced its latest contribution back to the open source community with the release of GroundWork Monitor Open Source 5.1. New capabilities include a comprehensive web services engine for extensibility and easy integration with other open source and proprietary tools, as well as advanced performance analysis capabilities. Performance monitoring is now completely integrated into the new status viewer console so that administrators can quickly analyze historic trends for performance, outages, events, alerts and notifications of any system or service in their environment.

Also available as a Bootable ISO image, systems administrators now have a simple, fast mechanism for evaluating and using GroundWork Monitor Open Source in any x86-compatable computer or in a virtualized environment like VMWare or Xen. The bootable image automatically starts up GroundWork Monitor Open Source with associated services such as Apache, Nagios®, MySQL, and RRDtool, all loaded and running.
Support for GroundWork Monitor Open Source comes from the company itself as well as the open source community at large.
