Press Release

GroundWork Names Vice President of Strategic Alliances

San Francisco, CA, March 14, 2007 — GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (www.groundworkopensource.com), the leader in open source systems and network management software, today announced Victoria Grey as the new Vice President of Strategic Alliances. Grey brings to GroundWork more than 25 years of related industry experience.

"What attracted me to GroundWork were the market-disrupting potential of the technology and the business model of the company," said Grey. "The proprietary approach to systems and network management, with its feature-bloat and high cost, is incompatible with the mid-market. Customers recognize value when presented to them and GroundWork's business-critical software offered on a subscription basis represents the best value available today. Because of this, GroundWork is an attractive company to partner with, and I am looking forward to building many successful new alliances for the company as we grow our market share.:

Most recently, Grey was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at EMC Insignia, a subsidiary of EMC Corporation, the world's leading provider of information storage systems, software, networks, and services. Previously, Grey was a Vice President and Business Group Executive at Legato Systems (acquired by EMC in 2003), where she held marketing and sales leadership positions over many years, including responsibility for driving strategic alliances with key market leaders such as Sun, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Compaq.

Grey has won a Tribute to Women in the Industry (TWIN) award, given for significant achievement in the high technology industry, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees at her alma mater, Clark University in Worcester, MA.

"As GroundWork continues to garner leadership and widen the lead in the open source systems and network management marketplace, a lot of vendors have approached us," said Ranga Rangachari, CEO of GroundWork Open Source. "We're continuing to strengthen the management team with proven industry talent and Vicki is a perfect fit help GroundWork extend our reach through key industry partnerships."
