GroundWork Appoints VP Of Engineering

San Francisco, CA—March 29, 2006—GroundWork Open Source, Inc., a leader in open source-based IT operations management solutions, today announced the addition of industry veteran Stuart Thompto as Vice President of Engineering. Thompto brings more than 16 years of product engineering leadership at JasperSoft, Sony Music Entertainment, CrossWorlds Software and Sybase.

Thompto joins other leading executives who have joined GroundWorks in the last six to twelve months. GroundWork recently welcomed new CEO Ranga Rangachari, new VP of Marketing Tony Barbagallo, and new VP of Sales Phil Bradley.

At JasperSoft, Thompto built a world-class open source development team, and managed product engineering across both commercial and open source product lines. Prior to JasperSoft, Thompto served as vice president of engineering for ListenPoint, provider of web-based applications to automate product marketing and product management business processes. Previously, Thompto was vice president of engineering at Sony Music Entertainment.
