GroundWork Open Source Expands Relationship with Red Hat

Customers offered more GroundWork products
and support options on Red Hat Exchange

San Francisco, CA—Oct. 30, 2007—GroundWork Open Source, Inc. (www.groundworkopensource.com), the leader in open source systems and network management software, today announced a significant expansion in the company’s relationship with Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions, through Red Hat Exchange (RHX), the innovative online marketplace launched earlier this year. Red Hat will now offer additional products and support offerings, including 24x7 telephone premium support for GroundWork products, and the sale of GroundWork training classes.

“Following our early collaboration with GroundWork through RHX, it was a natural decision to expand our relationship,” said Donald Fischer, vice president of online services at Red Hat. “We think customers will welcome the additional options in support we’re offering.”

Effective November 15, customers will be offered three levels of support to meet their needs, add-on modules and the option to buy GroundWork training. Training classes will be fulfilled through GroundWork University (http://www.groundworkopensource.com/university), GroundWork’s comprehensive training curriculum, and are available either onsite at GroundWork’s offices in San Fran-cisco or online.

“Groundwork has been a participant in Red Hat Exchange since its initial offering in May 2007, and the relationship has been beneficial to our organization and customers,” said Ranga Rangachari, CEO and president of GroundWork Open Source. “We’re very pleased to be able to offer a more complete solution to our joint customers going forth.”

To kick off the expanded relationship, GroundWork and Red Hat will present an hour-long, demonstration-based webinar on open source alternatives to enterprise and sys-tems management. The discussion will be led by Bret Hunter, director of partner mar-keting for Red Hat Exchange, and Thomas Stocking, founder and director of technical marketing for GroundWork. The webinar will take place at 2 p.m. EDT on November 1. Registration for the webinar is free at: http://www.info.redhat.com/forms/20071101RHXGroundworkWebinar.
